I appreciate you taking the time to send me your thoughts and suggestions. My Administration continues to remain focused on the issues that matter to the American people. Today, I want to share with you some of the latest numbers regarding our Nation’s resurgent economy. During the second quarter of 2018, United States GDP hit 4.1 percent. Over the past four quarters, the average annual growth rate has been a strong 2.8 percent, which is a full point higher than the average GDP growth during the Obama Administration of 1.9 percent, and we are currently on track to hit the highest annual average growth rate in over 13 years. The American economy is achieving the kind of growth critics once derided as unrealistic. Our historic tax cuts and slashing of burdensome Government regulations have played an integral part in unleashing our Nation’s resurgent economy. My Administration’s pro-America, pro-growth agenda is resulting in jobs for the American people, with over 3.7 million jobs added to our Nation’s economy since November of 2016.
