拝啓、12月27日の読売新聞社説によると、河野外相が中東を歴訪し、
イスラエルのネタニヤフ首相、パレスチナ自治政府のアッバス議長と個別会談した。
和平に向けた対話による歩み寄りを双方に促した。
ネタニヤフ氏は交渉を重視する意向を示した。
アッバス氏も「暴力に訴えることは考えていない。対話を進めたい」と語った。
トランプ氏の決定を無効とする国連総会決議に日本は賛成した。
米国は重要な同盟国だが、賛成しなければ、これまで培った中東や関係国との信頼が崩れかねない。
２国家共存を目標に、当事者間の交渉を重視するのは当然だ。
日本は、ヨルダン川西岸の開発支援を通じて、
パレスチナの経済的自立を目指す「平和と繁栄の回廊」構想を進めている。
日本、イスラエル、パレスチナ、ヨルダンの４者が協力する計画である。
河野氏は、構想の柱であるエリコの農産加工団地を訪ね、
物流・情報通信分野で支援を拡大すると表明した。
パレスチナの経済成長と民生安定が実現すれば、中東和平を推進する基礎となろう。
日本政府のパレスチナ対応は素晴らしい。
パレスチナの経済的自立を目指す「平和と繁栄の回廊」構想を進めるべきである。
英国やＥＵも、この構想に参加すべきである。
パレスチナの経済成長と民生安定が実現すれば、中東和平を推進する基礎となることは間違いない。

Dear Sirs, According to the Yomiuri Shimbun editorial on December 27, Foreign Minister Kono visited the Middle East and talked with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and Individual Palestinian Authority Abbas. Urged both sides to step up by dialogue towards peace. Netanyahu showed an intention to emphasize negotiations. Mr. Abbas also said, "We do not consider appealing to violence, we want to advance dialogue."
Japan approved the UN General Assembly resolution to invalidate Mr. Trump 's decision. The United States is an important alliance, but if you do not agree, trust with the Middle East and related countries that it has cultivated so far may collapse. It is no wonder that emphasis is placed on negotiations between the parties with the goal of coexistence.
Japan is promoting the concept of "corridor of peace and prosperity" aiming at economic independence of Palestine through development support on the west bank of the Jordan River.
Japan, Israel, Palestine, Jordan are planning to cooperate. Mr. Kono visited Jericho's agricultural processing complex which is the pillar of the concept and announced it would expand its support in the field of logistics and information communication. If Palestine's economic growth and civilian stability are realized, it will be the basis for promoting peace in the Middle East.
The Japanese government's Palestinian response is wonderful. We should promote the "corridor of peace and prosperity" aiming at economic independence of Palestine. Britain and the EU should also participate in this initiative. If Palestine's economic growth and civilian stability are realized, there is no doubt that it will be the foundation for promoting peace in the Middle East.
Prime Minister Terrysa May, along with Japan, please promote the "Corridor of Peace and Prosperity" concept.

While Europe suffers from immigration and refugee problems, in Western countries society in Western Europe is stunned to cope with immigration problems by illegal means.
